The Yargo Community Concert Band (YCCB) was formed in March 2006 by a group of individuals who wanted to offer the opportunity for musicians to play again.   Adopting a motto of "Music for a Lifetime," the Yargo Community Concert Band hopes to bring musicians, both young and not-so-young, together for the love of music.

Based in Winder, Georgia, the band invites musicians from all surrounding areas to join in the fun.  The band boasts musicians from Alpharetta to Social Circle and many areas in between.

Our first rehearsal was held on March 26, 2006 at Apalachee High School in Winder. Since then, we have rehearsed in several places -Barrow County Leisure Services Office, St. Anthony's Episcopal Church, The Colleen O. Williams Theater in Downtown Winder, and now we're back at Apalachee High School!

During our first year, we were fortunate to play in many venues and for many occasions:

  • Saturday, July 1, 2006- Inaugural Concert, City of Auburn 4th of July Celebration

  • Saturday, August 12, 2006- Barrow County Republican Party BBQ featuring keynote speaker Governor Sonny Perdue

  • Saturday, April 14, 2007- 1st Anniversary Concert, Barrow County Leisure Services Office

If you're interested in being a part of history, join the band today! See the Contact Us page for more information or come to one of our Rehearsals!
